We love learning more about our contributors, and an interview seemed like a fun way to hear more about the writers and artists we publish, so we gave them a choice of questions to answer. What was the inspiration for the piece published in the issue?
The inspiration for artwork Master Of Ceremony (pg 20) is historical involvement of secret societies that invested the capital and ideology in forming New World in Americas
The 2nd artwork (pg 27) the inspiration was a form of human body as it appears through contrast of light and shadows.

Who or what inspires your work generally?
My personal experience is my main source of inspiration.

Who are some of your favorite writers or artists, and what do you like about them?
I love haiku poetry, Basho and Isa, i love novels by Kundera, Orwell. Esoteric novels by Castaneda

What is your #1 advice for other writers or artists?
Being authentic.

What is your creative process? Do you plan pieces out or let them happen as they come?
My process is intuitive and spontaneous.

What turns you off when you see it in a work? What are your creative pet peeves?
I dont like technology especially when it replaces human talent and work. It disappoints me that people are dependent on technology

What do you do in the rest of your life and how does that connect and/or conflict with your creative life?
Hiking is my favorite time nature and my self

What are your 3-5 favorite and 3-5 least favorite words and why?
Words that i dont like to use, except when its structurally necessary: mine, my, and she/he

What is your "white whale"?
Everything that take my attention soon becomes the white whale.

We think of "after happy hour" as the time you can really let loose and be yourself. What is your after happy hour?
The happiest hours are spent in solitude, whatever i do, if im alone, i  mindfully embrace it.

Why did you feel like After Happy Hour would be a good home for this piece?
The visual art that illustrates the novel matches the raw and unfiltered energy, im so happy to had wonderful opportunity to illustrate the stories about shadows of someone else’s life.

What is your favorite vice? What are you drinking at happy hour, in a literal or a metaphorical sense?
I enjoy the journey but not arrival, im drinking my dreams about the new paths leading me on.

If you're part of a workshop group or other creative community, tell us about it! How did it form, what all do you do, and how does it help your creative process?
I'm yoga and meditation teacher, which helps me to hear my self in the noise of mundane life.

Give us a recipe and tell us why you chose it--what's special about that dish?
My secret sauce and the reason why i enjoy painting so much- i find myself in the reflection of something that im painting. That magical connection comes out through process of painting itself.
