Currently: Western PA Fund for choice
Each reading period we match and donate proceeds from our paid feedback submissions to a different charitable organization. For this current period we've selected Western PA Fund For Choice.

Everyone deserves a choice. Western PA Fund for Choice aims to ensure that financial concerns are not a barrier to abortion care. At a point in time when our rights are being threatened and the healthcare of our loved ones with uteruses is being stripped away, it is fundamental to give whatever support we can.

Thanks to our generous submitters, we were able to raise $2,200 for this cause!
What is the history of the organization?
We were founded in 1995 and have been helping to fund abortions ever since!

What services do you provide to the community and how do monetary donations help?
We provide financial assistance to abortion patients. We are completely volunteer-run and have very few overhead costs, so monetary donations go directly to lowering abortion costs for patients and

Is there a way for people to help if they're not able to donate monetarily?
Educate yourself and talk to those in your community about abortion access. You should:
- Use medically accurate, inclusive language when talking about abortion. Check out this guide to language from American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.
- Know current state laws about abortion, and keep an eye on what new bills may be introduced.
- Learn where folks in your community can access abortion. Do you have one or several independent abortion clinic in your city/town? Do you have a Planned Parenthood nearby? Or do folks have to travel hundreds of miles?
- Find trusted resources that you can share with others. The internet can be a cesspool of rhetoric and fake information, so it's critical that we uplift and share trusted abortion-related websites like PlanCPills.org, INeedAnA.com, AbortionFinder.org, The Miscarriage and Abortion Hotline, All-Options.org and AbortionFunds.org.
- Learn about how Crisis Pregnancy Centers are fake clinics run by extremist anti-abortion groups. Talk to the people in your circles about how to tell if a clinic is indeed a CPC and why to avoid going there.

Are there other organizations you work with or resources that people should be aware of?
In addition to groups mentioned in the prior question, check out the National Abortion Federation and the Women's Law Project.
